So it’s been awhile, I’ll admit that. Since November (two, three months?) Also, since I’m saving money for the wedding, and this domain has a month left on it, thus I might not be able to renew the domain, I figured I’d get some blogging in while I can.
So, without further ado, a review of Brys Estate Vineyard and Winery from my Michigan Vacation 2011:
Brys Estate
One of the reasons we chose Brys was that it advertised a greater variety of wines than the other wineries in Michigan. Sarah and I are by no means wine connoisseurs - or any other alcoholic drink, for that matter (although Sarah likes her Shark Bites from Joe’s Crab Shack). We didn’t quite know what we were walking into (we were a little worried it would just be someone’s house…), so once we pulled up, we waited in the car until either someone came out of or went into the little building.

Brys allows you to try three different wines for $5 - plus you get to keep your wine glass! So we tried different wines and decided we liked the Riesling the best since it was the sweetest, and honestly, least alcohol-tasting. We then bought three bottles. One we gave to my father and step-mother, one we just recently finished a week or two ago, and the third we haven’t yet opened (and it’s January!).
We’ve honestly considered going back to Brys just to get some wine for the wedding. The vineyard was beautiful (almost as beautiful as Sarah - nah, it wasn’t even close to Sarah’s beauty):

If the next winery and vineyard we visit isn’t Brys, then the next definitely has some big shoes to fill!
Until next time,
Joe

As promised in my previous blog post, I would post a project from my graphics class.
Here’s a youtube of it:
And here’s a link to the executable.
You’ll probably need the glut32.dll to run it.
Question: does anyone want the source code? I could post that too…
Until next time
Joe
